How to Install
Tools
Depending on the size of your install, you may need a few of the following tools:

A. Spray bottle filled with mildly soapy water. Water allows the repositioning of larger decals.
B. A tape measure. This Lufkin has a secondary rule that gives measurements of half the primary rule. Very useful for centering.
C. Plastic squeegie. Used for squeegiing over transfer tape.
D. Felt squeegie. Used for squeegiing over the vinyl itself. It is not as stiff as a plastic squeegie, but it won't scratch vinyl.
E. Utility knife blade. Used for cutting between panels and around trim.
F. X-Acto knife. Same use as the utility blade.
G. Blue painter's tape. Used for position marks and holding decals while installing.
H. Scissors. Used for cutting backing paper.

Basic Installation

1.
Measure where you want the decal and place tape to mark the location.
2.
Lay the decal in place, still on the backing paper, and tape it to the surface across the middle.

3,
Peel one end up and cut off the backing paper.
4.
Squeegie that side to the surface. be careful not to squeegie all the way to the cut edge of the backing paper.

5.
Remove the tape that was holding the decal in place, and peel off the rest of the backing paper.
6.
Squeegie down to that end, holding the decal off the surface until the squeegie pushes it down.

7.
Slowly peel off the transfer tape.
8.
You're done!
More Tips
When to use soapy water:
Soapy water is not recommended for small or medium size decals, or larger decals made of many small pieces, since it needs some time to dry before the transfer tape can be removed. Soapy water should be used for large graphics made of one or a few pieces and for windshield banners.

Since water will be used on larger graphics, we usually ship them without transfer tape. Spray your hands with the soapy water, remove the vinyl from the backing paper with a razor blade, spray the backside of the vinyl, and spray the surface. Then lay the vinyl on the surface and move it as needed. Using a felt squeegie, push the water out from under the vinyl, starting in the center. It may take several passes to remove all the water.

When the vinyl won't stick:
Vinyl doesn't stick well to old paint, dirty things, and some kinds of plastic. In this case, hold your squeegie against the transfer tape as you're removing it. This keeps the tape from pulling the vinyl off the surface.
